اسیر حلقۂ زنجیر جاں ہوا ہے یہ دل

اسیر حلقۂ زنجیر جاں ہوا ہے یہ دل

کسی پہ رونا کہاں مہرباں ہوا ہے یہ دل

اک اضطراب مسلسل میں کٹ رہی ہے حیات

شکار سازش سود و زیاں ہوا ہے یہ دل

جبیں بہ خاک نہم چشم بر ستارۂ صبح

کبھی زمین کبھی آسماں ہوا ہے یہ دل

بہت دنوں سے تھی مدھم چراغ درد کی لو

خود اپنی آنچ سے شعلہ بجاں ہوا ہے یہ دل

خمار ہجر تھا ایسا اکھڑ گئیں سانسیں

گرفت درد تھی ایسی فغاں ہوا ہے یہ دل

جہاں نے دیکھا نہیں ایسا گریہ و ماتم

جب اپنی موت پہ نوحہ کناں ہوا ہے یہ دل

ہمارا کیا ہے کہ بس ہم ہیں ایک مشت غبار

کھلی فضا جو ملی پر فشاں ہوا ہے یہ دل

عجب قیام و سفر کا ہے مرحلہ محسنؔ

ٹھہر گئی ہے نظر تو رواں ہوا ہے یہ دل
