خود اپنے آپ سے یہ گلہ عمر بھر کیا

کیسے ترے فراق کا موسم بسر کیا

منقار سے ہوا نے لکھی داستان ہجر

یوں حرف معتبر کو بھی نا معتبر کیا

کیسی ہوا چلی کہ معاً بارشوں کے بعد

ہر بے گلاب رت نے گلستاں میں گھر کیا

خود ہم نے کاٹ کاٹ دی زنجیر سانس کی

خود ہم نے زندگی کا سفر مختصر کیا

بے آب آئنوں کو بھی اک آب بخش دی

ہر چند بے ہنر تھے یہ کار ہنر کیا

سارے ستون ریت کی بنیاد پر اٹھائے

ہم نے کس احتیاط سے تعمیر گھر کیا

دنیا سمٹ کے ایک ہی نکتے میں آ گئی

ہم نے جب اپنی ذات کے اندر سفر کیا

تھا میر جی کو عزت سادات کا خیال

ہم نے سخن کو جنس دکان ہنر کیا

موقع شناس قصر ہوس میں پہنچ گئے

طے مرحلہ اڑان کا بے بال و پر کیا

خوشبو مرے بدن سے خود آ کر لپٹ گئی

محسنؔ یہ کس دیار سے میں نے گزر کیا
