نشیب وہم فراز گریز پا کے لیے

حصار خاک ہے حد پر ہر انتہا کے لیے

وفور نشہ سے رنگت سیاہ سی ہے مری

جلا ہوں میں بھی عجب چشم سرمہ سا کے لیے

ہے ارد گرد گھنا بن ہرے درختوں کا

کھلا ہے در کسی دیوار میں ہوا کے لیے

زمیں ہے مسکن شر آسماں سراب آلود

ہے سارا عہد سزا میں کسی خطا کے لیے

اسیریٔ پس آئینۂ بقا اور تو

نکل کے آ بھی وہاں سے کبھی خدا کے لیے

کھڑا ہوں زیر فلک گنبد صدا میں منیرؔ

کہ جیسے ہاتھ اٹھا ہو کوئی دعا کے لیے
