جستجو کرتے ہیں اس کی جو ہمیں حاصل نہ ہو

دشت نجد یاس میں دیوانگی ہو ہر طرف

ہر طرف محمل کا شک ہو پر کہیں محمل نہ ہو

وہم یہ تجھ کو عجب ہے اے جمال کم نما

جیسے سب کچھ ہو مگر تو دید کے قابل نہ ہو

وہ کھڑا ہے ایک باب علم کی دہلیز پر

میں یہ کہتا ہوں اسے اس خوف میں داخل نہ ہو

چاہتا ہوں میں منیرؔ اس عمر کے انجام پر

ایک ایسی زندگی جو اس طرح مشکل نہ ہو
