تیغ لہو میں ڈوبی تھی اور پیڑ خوشی سے جھوما تھا

باد بہاری چلی جھوم کے جب اس نے مجھ کو دیکھا تھا

گھائل نظریں اس دشمن کی ایسے مجھ کو تکتی تھیں

جیسے انہونی کوئی دیکھی ان کمزور نگاہوں نے

یہ انصاف تو بعد میں ہوگا کیا سچا کیا جھوٹا ہے

کون یقین سے کہہ سکتا ہے کون برا کون اچھا ہے

لیکن پھر بھی ایک بار تو میرا دل بھی کانپا تھا

کاش یہ سب کچھ کبھی نہ ہوتا میں نے دکھ سے سوچا تھا

گھائل نظریں اس دشمن کی گہری سوچ میں کھوئی تھیں

جیسے انہونی کوئی دیکھی ان کمزور نگاہوں نے

کون ہوں میں اور کون تھا وہ جس پر ہونی نے وار کیا

کون تھا وہ جس شخص کو میں نے بھری بہار میں مار دیا
