ردا اس چمن کی اڑا لے گئی

درختوں کے پتے ہوا لے گئی

جو حرف اپنے دل کے ٹھکانوں میں تھے

بہت دور ان کو صدا لے گئی

چلا میں صعوبت سے پر راہ پر

جہاں تک مجھے انتہا لے گئی

گئی جس گھڑی شام سحر وفا

مناظر سے اک رنگ سا لے گئی

نشاں اک پرانا کنارے پہ تھا

اسے موج دریا بہا لے گئی

منیرؔ اتنا حسن اس زمانے میں تھا

کہاں اس کو کوئی بلا لے گئی
