منشی جوالا پرشاد برق
سورج ڈوبا ہوا اندھیرا
چڑیاں لینے لگیں بسیرا
دن کا غائب ہوا اجالا
تاریکی نے پردہ ڈالا
جلنے لگے دیے گھر گھر میں
گرجا مسجد اور مندر میں
چرخ بریں پر چمکے تارے
بے روغن ہیں روشن سارے
جنگل سے گھر آئے گوالے
ریوڑ اپنا اپنا سنبھالے
جا پہنچے مزدور گھروں میں
خوش خوش ہیں بیوی بچوں میں
دن میں کب آرام کیا ہے
خون پسینہ ایک کیا ہے
نیند میں غافل ہو گئے بچے
سو گئے لوری سنتے سنتے

chiDiyan lene lagin basera
din ka ghaeb hua ujala
tariki ne parda Dala
jalne lage diye ghar ghar mein
girja masjid aur mandir mein
charKH-e-barin par chamke tare
be-roghan hain raushan sare
jangal se ghar aae gwale
rewaD apna apna sambhaale
ja pahunche mazdur gharon mein
KHush KHush hain biwi bachchon mein
din mein kab aaram kiya hai
KHun pasina ek kiya hai
nind mein ghafil ho gae bachche
so gae lori sunte sunte
