اندھیرا رات کا اس وقت بوڑھا ہونے والا ہے

اندھیرا رات کا اس وقت بوڑھا ہونے والا ہے
دریچے کھول کر دیکھو سویرا ہونے والا ہے
بکھیرا ہے فلک نے زعفرانی رنگ دھرتی پر
درختوں کا ہر اک پتا سنہرا ہونے والا ہے
وہ اپنی دسترس سے اب مجھے آزاد کر دے گا
امیر شہر کے ہاتھوں اجالا ہونے والا ہے
حویلی کا ہر اک گوشہ گلابوں سے مہکتا ہے
کسی مظلوم کی آہوں کا سودا ہونے والا ہے
پرندے گھونسلوں کی لاٹ میں جو سہمے بیٹھے ہیں
کسی طوفاں کی آمد ہے اندھیرا ہونے والا ہے
وہ میری شخصیت پر اب کرے گا تبصرہ شاید
مرے افکار کے رنگوں کا چرچا ہونے والا ہے
بدن میں خون کی اک بوند بھی باقی نہیں ارشدؔ
مری صف میں رقیبوں کا اضافہ ہونے والا ہے

bikhera hai falak ne zafrani rang dharti par
daraKHton ka har ek patta sunahra hone wala hai
wo apni dastaras se ab mujhe aazad kar dega
amir-e-shahr ke hathon ujala hone wala hai
haweli ka har ek gosha gulabon se mahakta hai
kisi mazlum ki aahon ka sauda hone wala hai
parinde ghonslon ki laT mein jo sahme baiThe hain
kisi tufan ki aamad hai andhera hone wala hai
wo meri shaKHsiyat par ab karega tabsira shayad
mere afkar ke rangon ka charcha hone wala hai
badan mein KHun ki ek bund bhi baqi nahin 'arshad'
meri saf mein raqibon ka izafa hone wala hai
