سر برہنہ بھری برسات میں گھر سے نکلے

ہم بھی کس گردش حالات میں گھر سے نکلے

دن میں کس کس کو بتائیں گے مسافت کا سبب

بس یہی سوچ کے ہم رات میں گھر سے نکلے

سر پہ خود اپنی صلیبوں کو اٹھائے ہم لوگ

روح کا بوجھ لئے ذات میں گھر سے نکلے

کب برس جائیں ان آنکھوں کا بھروسہ ہی نہیں

کون بے وقت کی برسات میں گھر سے نکلے

ڈر گیا دیکھ کے میں شہر مہذب کا چلن

کتنے آسیب فسادات میں گھر سے نکلے

عین ممکن ہے کی وہ دن میں نمایاں ہی نہ ہو

اس ستارے سے کہو رات میں گھر سے نکلے

ان کی فطرت میں تغافل بھی مرکب تھا نفسؔ

ہم ہی ناداں تھے جو جذبات میں گھر سے نکلے
