وہ میرا دوست ہے اور مجھ سے واسطہ بھی نہیں

جو قربتیں بھی نہیں ہیں تو فاصلا بھی نہیں

کسے خبر تھی کہ اس دشت سے گزرنا ہے

جہاں سے لوٹ کے آنے کا راستہ بھی نہیں

کبھی جو پھوٹ کے رو لے تو چین پا جائے

مگر یہ دل مرے پیروں کا آبلہ بھی نہیں

سنا ہے وہ بھی مرے قتل میں ملوث ہے

وہ بے وفا ہے مگر اتنا بے وفا بھی نہیں

وہ سو سکا نہ جسے چھین کر کبھی مجھ سے

میں اس زمین کے بارے میں سوچتا بھی نہیں

سنا تھا شہر میں ہر سو تمہارا چرچا ہے

یہاں تو کوئی نفسؔ تم کو جانتا بھی نہیں
