ترا رنگ بصیرت ہو بہو مجھ سا نکل آیا

تجھے میں کیا سمجھتا تھا مگر تو کیا نکل آیا

ذرا سا کام پڑتے ہی مزاج اک خاک زادے کا

قد و قامت میں گردوں سے بھی کچھ اونچا نکل آیا

زر خوشبو کھنکتا رہ گیا دست گل تر میں

دل سادہ خریدار دل سادہ نکل آیا

عجب اک معجزہ اس دور میں دیکھا کہ پہلو سے

ید بیضا نکلتا تھا مگر کاسہ نکل آیا

کہانی جب بھی دہرائی پس ہر آبلہ پائی

وہی محمل وہی مجنوں وہی صحرا نکل آیا

نجیبؔ اک وہم تھا دو چار دن کا ساتھ ہے لیکن

ترے غم سے تو ساری عمر کا رشتہ نکل آیا
