اے عشق بتا تیرا یہ انجام ہوا کیوں

ہم باعث راحت جسے سمجھے تھے وہ لمحہ

اب اپنے لیے باعث آلام ہوا کیوں

اے عشق فلک پر تجھے لکھا جو خدا نے

پھر تیرا مقدر بھلا ابہام ہوا کیوں

اے عشق ترا نام ہے جب سچ کی علامت

اے عشق تو رسوا یوں سر عام ہوا کیوں

جب ایک ہی سجدے میں ترا بھید چھپا ہے

پھر سنگ ملامت ہی ترا دام ہوا کیوں

اے آنکھ تو بے خواب ہے خوابوں کی طلب میں

یہ ہجر ہی آخر ترا انعام ہوا کیوں

چہرے پہ ترے کس لیے حیرت ہے ابھی تک

یہ اتنی وضاحت پہ بھی ابہام ہوا کیوں

اس دل کو ہے محبوب وہی درد کا نغمہ

اس دل میں تعجب ہے یہ کہرام ہوا کیوں

جو تیری محبت کو سمجھ ہی نہیں پایا

شاہینؔ یہ دل اس کے بھلا نام ہوا کیوں
