موسم گل ہے گھٹا ہے جام ہے
انتظار ساقیٔ گلفام ہے
ایک ساقی ایک مے اک جام ہے
پھر یہ کیسا فرق خاص و عام ہے
غم تو ہے اس واسطے مجھ کو عزیز
یہ ترا بخشا ہوا انعام ہے
کیا سبب ہے جلوہ گاہ حسن میں
جس کو دیکھو بندۂ بے دام ہے
موت نے آ کر مداوا کر دیا
اب ترے بیمار کو آرام ہے
جان تو خود آ کے پروانوں نے دی
شمع پر بیکار ہی الزام ہے
توڑ ڈالا اس نے پیمان وفا
خواہش دل اب ترا کیا کام ہے
پیش آتا ہے مقدر کا لکھا
گردش دوراں عبث بدنام ہے
حادثوں سے کیسا گھبرانا نصیرؔ
زندگی تو حادثوں کا نام ہے

ek saqi ek mai ek jam hai
phir ye kaisa farq-e-KHas-o-am hai
gham to hai is waste mujh ko aziz
ye tera baKHsha hua inam hai
kya sabab hai jalwa-gah-e-husn mein
jis ko dekho banda-e-be-dam hai
maut ne aa kar mudawa kar diya
ab tere bimar ko aaram hai
jaan to KHud aa ke parwanon ne di
shama par be-kar hi ilzam hai
toD Dala us ne paiman-e-wafa
KHwahish-e-dil ab tera kya kaam hai
pesh aata hai muqaddar ka likha
gardish-e-dauran abas badnam hai
hadson se kaisa ghabrana 'nasir'
zindagi to hadson ka nam hai
