دھوپ تھی اور بادل چھایا تھا

دھوپ تھی اور بادل چھایا تھا

دیر کے بعد تجھے دیکھا تھا

میں اس جانب تو اس جانب

بیچ میں پتھر کا دریا تھا

ایک پیڑ کے ہاتھ تھے خالی

اک ٹہنی پر دیا جلا تھا

دیکھ کے دو جلتے سایوں کو

میں تو اچانک سہم گیا تھا

ایک کے دونوں پاؤں تھے غائب

ایک کا پورا ہاتھ کٹا تھا

ایک کے الٹے پیر تھے لیکن

وہ تیزی سے بھاگ رہا تھا

ان سے الجھ کر بھی کیا لیتا

تین تھے وہ اور میں تنہا تھا
