جیسے بلقیس سلیماں کے محل میں آئے

جبر سے ایک ہوا ذائقۂ ہجر و وصال

اب کہاں سے وہ مزا صبر کے پھل میں آئے

یہ بھی آرائش ہستی کا تقاضا تھا کہ ہم

حلقۂ فکر سے میدان عمل میں آئے

ہر قدم دست و گریباں ہے یہاں خیر سے شر

ہم بھی کس معرکۂ جنگ و جدل میں آئے

زندگی جن کے تصور سے جلا پاتی تھی

ہائے کیا لوگ تھے جو دام اجل میں آئے
