ذہانتوں کو کہاں کرب سے فرار ملا

جسے نگاہ ملی اس کو انتظار ملا

وہ کوئی راہ کا پتھر ہو یا حسیں منظر

جہاں بھی راستہ ٹھہرا وہیں مزار ملا

کوئی پکار رہا تھا کھلی فضاؤں سے

نظر اٹھائی تو چاروں طرف حصار ملا

ہر ایک سانس نہ جانے تھی جستجو کس کی

ہر اک دیار مسافر کو بے دیار ملا

یہ شہر ہے کہ نمائش لگی ہوئی ہے کوئی

جو آدمی بھی ملا بن کے اشتہار ملا
