میں بندگی کے زعم میں چلا اٹھا کہ بس
اک کھیل نے ہمارا مقدر بدل دیا
وہ تو ہمیں پکار کر ایسا چھپا کہ بس
پہلے تو اک نشے کو کیا سر پہ خود سوار
پھر یوں کسی خیال سے جی ہٹ گیا کہ بس
جنت ملے گی اس نے کہا مومنین کو
جلتے ہوئے مکان سے آئی صدا کہ بس
نغمہ سمجھ کے شور سے محظوظ ہوتی بھیڑ
انبوہ بیکراں میں کوئی چیختا کہ بس
