اچانک ایسے جل تھل ہو گئے کیوں
کہ صحرا سارے جنگل ہو گئے کیوں
قدم اس طرح سے شل ہو گئے کیوں
سہارے اتنے بوجھل ہو گئے کیوں
نہیں تخفیف ان میں اک ذرا سی
یہ غم اتنے مسلسل ہو گئے کیوں
تری قربت کے وہ سارے زمانے
سمٹ کر ایک ہی پل ہو گئے کیوں
انہیں اتنے دنوں کے بعد دیکھا
خوشی میں پھر یہ بے کل ہو گئے کیوں
