ہم نے کھلنے نہ دیا بے سر و سامانی کو

کہاں لے جائیں مگر شہر کی ویرانی کو

صرف گفتار سے زخموں کا رفو چاہتے ہیں

یہ سیاست ہے تو پھر کیا کہیں نادانی کو

کوئی تقسیم نئی کر کے چلا جاتا ہے

جو بھی آتا ہے مرے گھر کی نگہبانی کو

اب کہاں جاؤں کہ گھر میں بھی ہوں دشمن اپنا

اور باہر مرا دشمن ہے نگہبانی کو

بے حسی وہ ہے کہ کرتا نہیں انساں محسوس

اپنی ہی روح میں آئی ہوئی طغیانی کو

آج بھی اس کو فراز آج بھی عالی ہے وہی

وہی سجدہ جو کرے وقت کی سلطانی کو

آج یوسف پہ اگر وقت یہ لائے ہو تو کیا

کل تمہیں تخت بھی دو گے اسی زندانی کو

صبح کھلنے کی ہو یا شام بکھر جانے کی

ہم نے خوشبو ہی کیا اپنی پریشانی کو

وہ بھی ہر آن نیا میری محبت بھی نئی

جلوۂ حسن کشش ہے مری حیرانی کو

کوزۂ حرف میں لایا ہوں تمہاری خاطر

روح پر اترے ہوئے ایک عجب پانی کو
