دل تباہ کا کچھ تو علاج کرنا تھا

مری نوا سے تری نیند بھی سلگ اٹھتی

ذرا سا اس میں شراروں کا رنگ بھرنا تھا

سلگتی ریت پہ یادوں کے نقش کیوں چھوڑے

تجھے بھی گہرے سمندر میں جب اترنا تھا

ملا نہ مجھ کو کسی سے خراج اشکوں میں

ہوا کے ہاتھوں مجھے اور کچھ بکھرنا تھا

اسی پہ داغ ہزیمت کے لگ گئے دیکھو

یقیں کی آگ سے جس شکل کو نکھرنا تھا

میں کھنڈروں میں اسے ڈھونڈتا پھرا فکریؔ

مگر کہاں تھا وہ آسیب جس سے ڈرنا تھا
