زباں ہے بے خبر اور بے زباں دل

کہے کس طرح سے راز نہاں دل

نہیں دنیا کو دل داری کی عادت

سنائے کس کو اپنی داستاں دل

نہ پوچھو بے ٹھکانوں کا ٹھکانا

وہیں ہم بھی تھے سرگرداں جہاں دل

کٹی ہے زندگی سب رنج کھاتے

کہے کیا عمر بھر کی داستاں دل

ہمیں بھی تھی کبھی ملنے کی لذت

ہمارا بھی کبھی تھا نوجواں دل

نہ باز آؤں گا میں الفت سے جب تک

اٹھائے جائے گا جور بتاں دل

غم الفت غم دنیا غم دیں

اٹھائے بار کیا کیا ناتواں دل

سمجھ میں خاک آئے عقل کی بات

گئے ہوش و خرد آیا جہاں دل

انہیں رحم آئے تو کیا آئے پرویںؔ

وہ لا پروا ہے میرا بے زباں دل
