نور سہارے اپنی نگرانی کرتے

ہوتے ہم بھی گر اجداد کی فطرت پر

شعلہ زاروں میں گل افشانی کرتے

پیار بھروسہ شفقت کھو دیتے سب کچھ

کیسے بڑوں کی ہم نافرمانی کرتے

کل جو اگر سختی سے پیش آئے ہوتے

ہم بھی اپنے گھر میں سلطانی کرتے

دور نگاہی دیدہ پھاڑے بیٹھی تھی

کس کافر کے سنگ مسلمانی کرتے

سر ٹکراتے چپ کو دیتے گویائی

یوں معشوق کو بت خود کو مانی کرتے
