پھر نہ ہوگا بعد میں یہ سانحہ ہے آخری

اپنا اپنا چہرہ لے کر آ گئے ہیں سب کے سب

وقت کے ہاتھوں میں جبکہ آئنہ ہے آخری

دیکھیے بنتا ہے کون اس کی ملامت کا ہدف

تیر اس ظالم کے ترکش میں بچا ہے آخری

ایک مٹھی آسماں بس ایک مٹھی آسماں

اس پرندے کی یہی بس التجا ہے آخری

آخری بار آؤ آنکھیں بھر لیں رحمانیؔ سے ہم

پھر کہاں کہ روشنی کا سلسلہ ہے آخری
