بن نہ پائے کچھ بھی لیکن دست قدرت میں رہے

ہم کو آنکھوں میں بسایا وقت نے مانند خواب

اور ہم تعبیر ہو جانے کی حسرت میں رہے

ہم نے صحرا ہو کہ گلشن ایک جیسا کر دیا

جس ٹھکانے بھی رہے زنجیر وحشت میں رہے

اب صلہ حسن عمل کا کیا ملا کیا جانیے

روشنی تھے ہم سو شعلے کی رفاقت میں رہے

خلوت جاں میں بڑی فرصت سے آ بیٹھا ہے غم

عرصۂ فرصت ملا تو ہم بھی فرصت میں رہے
