یعنی دل کی دھڑکن پر غور کر لیا جائے

آپ کتنے سادہ ہیں چاہتے ہیں بس اتنا

ظلم کے اندھیرے کو رات کہہ دیا جائے

آج سب ہیں بے قیمت گریہ بھی تبسم بھی

دل میں ہنس لیا جائے دل میں رو لیا جائے

بے حسی کی دنیا سے دو سوال میرے بھی

کب تلک جیا جائے اور کیوں جیا جائے

اب تو فقر و فاقہ کی آبرو اسی سے ہے

تار تار دامن کو کیوں بھلا سیا جائے
