سروں پہ روز نیا آسماں لیے پھریے

اب اس فضا کی کثافت میں کیوں اضافہ ہو

غبار دل ہے سو دل میں نہاں لیے پھریے

یہی بچا ہے سو اب زیست کی گواہی میں

یہی نشان دل بے نشاں لیے پھریے

قرار جاں تو سر کوئے یار چھوڑ آئے

متاع زیست ہے لیکن کہاں لیے پھریے

عجب ہنر ہے کہ دانشوری کے پیکر میں

کسی کا ذہن کسی زباں لیے پھریے
