بِیتےلمحے، کل کی باتیں یاد آئِیں
وُہ رنگوں کی سب برساتیں یاد آئِیں
دِن دیکھا تو چہرہ تیرا یاد آیا
رات کے دیکھے، زُلف کی راتیں یاد آئِیں
بیٹا ایم۔اے کر کے گھر میں بیٹھ گیا
اپنے وقت کی چار جماتیں یاد آئِیں
جلتی دُھوپ میں ننگے پاؤں چلنے پر
ٹھنڈے لہجے کی سوغاتیں یاد آئِیں
آج کی جِیت پہ دِل ایسا وِیران ھؤا
کل کی ہنستی کھیلتی ماتیں یاد آئِیں
جُھوٹی شان کا سُورج ڈُوبتے دیکھا تو
اپنی دُبکی سہمی ذاتیں یاد آئِیں
حسرتؔ جب بیٹی کی ڈولی لوٹ گئی
لوٹنے والی سب باراتیں یاد آئِیں
