پروفیسر رشید حسرت
کُچھ کُرونا سے نہیں قوم کو ھونے والا
سِلسِلہ جاری رہے ہاتھ کے دھونے والا
پہلے بھی کون سے آغوش در آغوش تھے ہم
اب نہ مِلنا ھے کہاں تِیر چُبھونے والا
یا خُدا کیسی یہ اُفتاد پڑی ھے ھم پر
کیوں مرض ھم پہ اُتارا ھے کُرونے والا
ھم ہیں مخلُوق تِری، تیرے نبی کی اُمّت
ھے جو اُمّت کے لیئے پُھوٹ کے رونے والا
واسطہ گُنبدِ خضرا کے مکِیں کا تُجھ کو
سِلسِلہ روک بھی دے نیّا ڈوبنے والا
کیا کہوں دل یہ مِرا کتنا دُکھی ھے یارو
ہائے منظر تھا کوئی لاشوں کے ڈھونے والا
تُو ھے رحمان تری شانِ کرِیمی ھے الگ
میں گدا در کا تِرے خاک بچھونے والا
ھم نے مانا کہ گُنہگار ہیں، بد کار ہیں ھم
تُو ہی دامن میں ہمیں پھر بھی سمونے والا
اب تو ہے شاہِ اُمم سے ہی دُعا کی عرضی
اور چارہ کوئی حسرتؔ نہیں ھونے والا
