دِل سُلگتا ھے آنکھ جلتی
پروفیسر رشید حسرت
دِل سُلگتا ھے، آنکھ جلتی ھے
کیسی حسرت یہ دِل میں پلتی ھے
روگ لگ جائے جِس جوانی کو
کب جوانی وُہ پِھر سنبھلتی ھے
کر کے مُجھ کو اُداس اِک دُلہن
مُڑ کے تکتی ھے، رُک کے چلتی ھے
دِل تھا مُدّت سے مُبتِلا غم میں
اب تو لگتا ھے جاں نِکلتی ھے
ہائے وہ چشمِ سُرمگیں توبہ
روز جو راستہ بدلتی ھے
عکسِ جاناں دِکھائی دیتا ھے
کوہ پر برف جب پِگھلتی ھے
اُن کی اُجڑی اُداس آنکھوں میں
جوت حسرتؔ وفا کی جلتی ھے
