تمام عُمر اُسے مُجھ سے اِختِلاف رہا
رہا وہ گھر میں مِرے پر مِرے خِلاف رہا
خبر نہِیں کہ تِرے من میں چل رہا یے کیا؟
تِری طرف سے مِرا دِل ہمیشہ صاف رہا
بجا کہ رُتبہ کوئی عین قاف لام کا ہے
بلند سب سے مگر عین شِین قاف رہا
مُجھے گُماں کہ کوئی مُجھ میں نقص بھی ہو گا؟
رہا نقاب میں چہرہ، تہہِ غِلاف رہا
کبھی تھا بِیچ میں پریوں کے، اب جِنوں کے بِیچ
یہ شہر میرے لیئے گویا کوہ قاف رہا
وُہ شخص جِس کو سُکوں میرے بِن نہ آتا کہِیں
نہِیں تھا میرا، نیا ایک اِنکشاف رہا
خُدا کرے کہ وفا کا بھرم رہے قائم
مُعاملہ تھا بڑا صاف اور صاف رہا
میں اپنے فن کا پُجاری ہوں دُوسروں کا نہِیں
بڑا ہے وہ کہ جِسے سب کا اعتراف رہا
رشِیدؔ کوسا کِیا میں یہاں مُقدّر کو
وہاں چُھپا ہؤا سِینے میں اِک شِگاف رہا
