وُہ شور ھے کہ یہاں
پروفیسر رشید حسرت
وُه شور ھے که یہاں کُچھ سُنائی دیتا نہیں
تلاش جِس کی ھے وه کیوں دِکھائی دیتا نہیں
سُلگ رھا ھوں میں برسات کی بہاروں میں
یِه میرا ظرف که پھر بھی دُہائی دیتا نہیں
یتِیم پالتی ھے بہن کِس مُشقّت سے
ھے دُکھ کی بات کہ اِمداد بھائی دیتا نہیں
وه در فرار کے مُجھ پر کُھلے تو رکھتا ھے
وه زُلف قید سے لیکِن رِہائی دیتا نہیں
زمیندار نے دہقاں کی پگ اُچھالی آج
که فصل کاٹتا تو ھے بٹائی دیتا نہیں
میں اپنے نام کی اِس میں لکِیر کھینچ نه لُوں
وُه میرے ھاتھ میں دستِ حِنائی دیتا نہیں
نه ھوتی حُسن کی توصِیف گر اُسے مقصُود
تو شاھکار کو اِتنی صفائی دیتا نہیں
کسک جو دِل میں ھے بخشی ہُوئی اُسی کی ھے
مقامِ عِشق تلک جو رسائی دیتا نہیں
رشِیدؔ پیڑ کے ساۓ سے سُکھ کی تھی اُمید
یه کیا کِه بیٹا بھی گھر میں کمائی دیتا نہیں
