صراحی کا بھرم کھلتا نہ میری تشنگی ہوتی

ذرا تم نے نگاہ ناز کو تکلیف دی ہوتی

مقام عاشقی دنیا نے سمجھا ہی نہیں ورنہ

جہاں تک تیرا غم ہوتا وہیں تک زندگی ہوتی

تمہاری آرزو کیوں دل کے ویرانے میں آ پہنچی

بہاروں میں پلی ہوتی ستاروں میں رہی ہوتی

زمانے کی شکایت کیا زمانہ کس کی سنتا ہے

مگر تم نے تو آواز جنوں پہچان لی ہوتی

یہ سب رنگینیاں خون تمنا سے عبارت ہیں

شکست دل نہ ہوتی تو شکست زندگی ہوتی

رضائے دوست قابلؔ میرا معیار محبت ہے

انہیں بھی بھول سکتا تھا اگر ان کی خوشی ہوتی
