دشت تنہائی میں کل رات ہوا کیسی تھی

دیر تک ٹوٹتے لمحوں کی صدا کیسی تھی

زندگی نے مرا پیچھا نہیں چھوڑا اب تک

عمر بھر سر سے نہ اتری یہ بلا کیسی تھی

سنتے رہتے تھے محبت کے فسانے کیا کیا

بوند بھر دل پہ نہ برسی یہ گھٹا کیسی تھی

کیا ملا فیصلۂ ترک تعلق کر کے

تم جو بچھڑے تھے تو ہونٹوں پہ دعا کیسی تھی

ٹوٹ کر خود جو وہ بکھرا ہے تو معلوم ہوا

جس سے لپٹا تھا وہ دیوار انا کیسی تھی

جسم سے نوچ کے پھینکی بھی تو خوشبو نہ گئی

یہ روایات کی بوسیدہ قبا کیسی تھی

ڈوبتے وقت بھنور پوچھ رہا ہے قیصرؔ

جب کنارے سے چلے تھے تو فضا کیسی تھی
