اسے نہ سن جو کہانی سنی سنائی ہے

پتنگا شمع پہ مرتا ہے کیا برائی ہے

اسے کسی نے بھی روکا ہے جس کی آئی ہے

ہنسے ہیں گل نہ کلی کوئی مسکرائی ہے

حضور کیسے یہ کہہ دوں بہار آئی ہے

ضرور کوئی علامت قضا کی پائی ہے

مجھے عزیزوں نے صورت تری دکھائی ہے

نہ جانے ہجر کی رات اور مری سیہ بختی

کہاں کہاں کے اندھیرے سمیٹ لائی ہے

لحد سے کب اٹھیں دیکھو مسافران عدم

سفر ہے دور کا رستے میں نیند آئی ہے

اسیر کیا کہیں صیاد یہ تو سمجھا دے

قفس میں بوئے چمن پوچھنے کو آئی ہے

مجھے نہ چھیڑ قیامت ہے میری آہوں میں

خدا رکھے تری محفل سجی سجائی ہے
