کیا خبر تھی یوں مسلسل درد سر ہو جائے گی
آپ اپنی صورت زیبا کو شیشے میں حضور
غور سے اتنا بھی نہ دیکھیں نظر ہو جائے گی
نکتہ چینو بس ذرا سا دھن کما لینے تو دو
دیکھنا پھر میری ہر خامی ہنر ہو جائے گی
ہاں یہی ہوگا مرا سچ چیختا رہ جائے گا
آپ کی جھوٹی کہانی معتبر ہو جائے گی
آرزو پوری نہیں ہوتی یہاں عمرانؔ تم
نوچ لو کونپل ہی ورنہ یہ شجر ہو جائے گی

aap apni surat-e-zeba ko shishe mein huzur
ghaur se itna bhi na dekhen nazar ho jaegi
nukta-chino bas zara sa dhan kama lene to do
dekhna phir meri har KHami hunar ho jaegi
han yahi hoga mera sach chiKHta rah jaega
aap ki jhuTi kahani mo'atabar ho jaegi
aarzu puri nahin hoti yahan 'imran' tum
noch lo konpal hi warna ye shajar ho jaegi
