خود اپنی ذلت و خواری نہ کرنا
کسی کم ظرف سے یاری نہ کرنا
اگر تم شاد رہنا چاہتے ہو
کسی کی بھی دل آزاری نہ کرنا
اگر توفیق ہو سچ بولنے کی
تو اپنی بھی طرف داری نہ کرنا
تمہیں ہم جانتے پہچانتے ہیں
کبھی ہم سے اداکاری نہ کرنا
کسی کے ساتھ کر لینا عبادت
ہر اک کے ساتھ مے خواری نہ کرنا
نہ گر جانا رئیسؔ اپنی نظر سے
کبھی توہین خودداری نہ کرنا

kisi ki bhi dil-azari na karna
agar taufiq ho sach bolne ki
to apni bhi taraf-dari na karna
tumhein hum jaante pahchante hain
kabhi hum se adakari na karna
kisi ke sath kar lena ibaadat
har ek ke sath mai-KHwari na karna
na gir jaana 'rais' apni nazar se
kabhi tauhin-e-KHuddari na karna
