غضب کی کاٹ تھی اب کے ہوا کے طعنوں میں

شگاف پڑ گئے ہیں بے زباں چٹانوں میں

ہمارے ہونٹ ہی پتھر کے ہیں وگرنہ میاں

ہم ایک آگ لیے پھرتے ہیں دہانوں میں

بگولہ بن کے اٹھا تو میں تھا خرابے سے

بپا ہوا نہ کوئی حشر آسمانوں میں

سیاہ شہر کی قسمت میں میرا فیض کہاں

چراغ نذر ہوں جلتا ہوں آستانوں میں

ٹپک پڑا ہوں بالآخر میں اپنی آنکھوں سے

چھپا رکھا تھا مجھے تم نے کن خزانوں میں

سکوت کو نہ کبھی کر صدا سے آلودہ

کہ یہ زباں ہے مقدس تریں زبانوں میں

سخن شناس فصیلوں کا ہے سکوت غضب

سخن طراز ہیں زنجیریں قید خانوں میں
