کھینچ لائی تھی مجھے خوشبو ہی تیرے پیرہن کی

پر تری آنکھوں میں ہے وحشت بھی آہوئے ختن کی

عشق کی آتش کہاں بارود کے شعلے ہیں رقصاں

اب کہاں وہ زلف اور وہ داستاں دار و رسن کی

کیا ہوئے وہ دن کہ جب اکثر میسر تھی مجھے بھی

دن کو ظلمت زلف کی اور دھوپ شب کو سیم تن کی

آتش فرقت سے میں شب کو اجالا مانگتا ہوں

عشق میں ہوتی نہیں ہے حد کوئی دیوانہ پن کی

روشنی جس کی مری آنکھوں کو خیرہ کر چکی ہے

راکھ کر کے چھوڑ دے گی اب حرارت اس بدن کی

دیکھ کے رستے کے منظر سب کے سب تھے غرق حیرت

یاد ایسے میں بھلا آتی کسے اپنے وطن کی
