سانپ سا لیٹا ہوا سنسان رستہ سامنے تھا

سانپ سا لیٹا ہوا سنسان رستہ سامنے تھا

خطرہ آغاز سفر میں ایک ایسا سامنے تھا

دشت میں گھمسان کا وہ رن پڑا تھا کچھ نہ پوچھو

دھوپ میری پشت پر تھی اور سایا سامنے تھا

اب تو ان آنکھوں کے آگے آئینہ ہے اور میں ہوں

ہائے مژگاں کھولنے سے پہلے کیا کیا سامنے تھا

بزدل ایسے تھے بھگو پائے نہ اپنے ہاتھ تک ہم

دونوں بازو تھے سلامت اور دریا سامنے تھا

میں مسافت کی طرح تھا بیچ میں سمٹا ہوا سا

پشت کی جانب سمندر اور صحرا سامنے تھا

وصل کے خوابوں میں اب وہ روشنی باقی نہیں تھی

ہجر کی راتوں میں سونے کا نتیجہ سامنے تھا
