تمام روئے زمیں پر سکوت چھایا تھا

نزول کیسی قیامت کا ہونے والا تھا

یہاں تو آگ اگلتی ہے یہ زمیں ہر سو

وہ ایک ابر کا پارہ کہاں پہ برسا تھا

بس ایک بار ہوا تھا وجود کا احساس

بس ایک بار دریچے سے اس نے جھانکا تھا

ابھی ڈسا نہ گیا تھا یہ جسم تپتا ہوا

ابھی خزینۂ مخفی پہ سانپ سویا تھا

سفر میں سر پہ تری دھن تو تھی سوار مگر

نگاہ میں کوئی منزل نہ کوئی رستہ تھا

یہ قطرہ بحر معانی ہے موجزن جس میں

قلم کی نوک سے پہلے کبھی نہ ٹپکا تھا
