چشمۂ چشم کے پانی سے نہیں ہوگا کچھ

خاک صحرا ہے اسے خوں کی ضرورت ہے بہت

میں تو اک آنکھ ہوں آواز سے مجھ کو نہ ڈرا

یہ ترے جلوۂ صد رنگ کی دہشت ہے بہت

بت معنی بھی معانی کے پجاری بھی گئے

آ کہ اب معبد الفاظ میں خلوت ہے بہت

خاک ہی شہر و بیاباں کی اگر دولت ہے

تو یہ آوارہ ترا صاحب ثروت ہے بہت
