یہ بات منکشف ہوئی چراغ کے بغیر بھی

میں ڈھونڈ لوں گا ہر خوشی چراغ کے بغیر بھی

ہوا تھا جس جگہ کبھی وصال یار دوستو

ہے اس جگہ پہ روشنی چراغ کے بغیر بھی

لکھی گئی ہیں جس کے ساتھ زندگی کی منزلیں

وہ آ ملے گا آدمی چراغ کے بغیر بھی

مسرتوں کے قافلے لٹا رہی ہے پھر مجھے

تری یہ خود سپردگی چراغ کے بغیر بھی

میں تذکرہ کروں تو کیا کروں جمال یار کا

دمک رہی تھی دل کشی چراغ کے بغیر بھی

تمہاری ایک یاد بے شمار حسرتوں کے رنگ

نگاہ میں سجا گئی چراغ کے بغیر بھی

گلہ کسی سے کیوں کروں گزر ہی جائے گی خیالؔ

یہ مختصر سی زندگی چراغ کے بغیر بھی
