ہم اس زمیں کی طرح مستقل سفر میں ہیں

بھٹک رہے ہیں اندھیرے مسافروں کی طرح

اجالے محو‌ سکوں دامن سحر میں ہیں

جنہیں خبر ہی نہیں شرح زندگی کیا ہے

وہ مجرموں کی طرح قید اپنے گھر میں ہیں

تو اعتبار شب انتظار ہے جاناں

ترے فراق کے موسم مری نظر میں ہیں

جو بے قرار ہیں ان کو کہیں قرار نہیں

نصیب والے ستاروں کی رہ گزر میں ہیں

خیالؔ آمد فصل-بہار ہے شاید

جو سست گام تھے وہ لوگ بھی سفر میں ہیں
