ہم چراغوں کا بھی اتنا ہی ادب کرتے ہیں

ہم پہ حاکم کا کوئی حکم نہیں چلتا ہے

ہم قلندر ہیں شہنشاہ لقب کرتے ہیں

دیکھیے جس کو اسے دھن ہے مسیحائی کی

آج کل شہر کے بیمار مطب کرتے ہیں

خود کو پتھر سا بنا رکھا ہے کچھ لوگوں نے

بول سکتے ہیں مگر بات ہی کب کرتے ہیں

ایک اک پل کو کتابوں کی طرح پڑھنے لگے

عمر بھر جو نہ کیا ہم نے وہ اب کرتے ہیں
