شہر کیا دیکھیں کہ ہر منظر میں جالے پڑ گئے

ایسی گرمی ہے کہ پیلے پھول کالے پڑ گئے

میں اندھیروں سے بچا لایا تھا اپنے آپ کو

میرا دکھ یہ ہے مرے پیچھے اجالے پڑ گئے

جن زمینوں کے قبالے ہیں مرے پرکھوں کے نام

ان زمینوں پر مرے جینے کے لالے پڑ گئے

طاق میں بیٹھا ہوا بوڑھا کبوتر رو دیا

جس میں ڈیرا تھا اسی مسجد میں تالے پڑ گئے

کوئی وارث ہو تو آئے اور آ کر دیکھ لے

ظل سبحانی کی اونچی چھت میں جالے پڑ گئے
