صرف سچ اور جھوٹ کی میزان میں رکھے رہے

ہم بہادر تھے مگر میدان میں رکھے رہے

جگنوؤں نے پھر اندھیروں سے لڑائی جیت لی

چاند سورج گھر کے روشندان میں رکھے رہے

دھیرے دھیرے ساری کرنیں خودکشی کرنے لگیں

ہم صحیفہ تھے مگر جزدان میں رکھے رہے

بند کمرے کھول کر سچائیاں رہنے لگیں

خواب کچی دھوپ تھے دالان میں رکھے رہے

صرف اتنا فاصلہ ہے زندگی سے موت کا

شاخ سے توڑے گئے گلدان میں رکھے رہے

زندگی بھر اپنی گونگی دھڑکنوں کے ساتھ ساتھ

ہم بھی گھر کے قیمتی سامان میں رکھے رہے
