موسم ہجر کے قصے بھی سنانے تھے بہت
اس کے ہنگاموں کے سب لوگ دوانے تھے بہت
میری خاموش مزاجی کے فسانے تھے بہت
ایک میں جی نہ سکی دے کے زمانے کو فریب
یوں تو اس شہر میں جینے کے بہانے تھے بہت
وہ کبھی دل کی حسیں شاخ پہ بیٹھا ہی نہ تھا
میرے اندر کے پرندے کے ٹھکانے تھے بہت
میں سیہ رات میں تھی خود ہی منور راحتؔ
میرے اندر بھی چراغوں کے خزانے تھے بہت
