زندگی ہی سے گزر جائیں گے
تجھ سے بچھڑیں گے تو مر جائیں گے
خشک پتے ہیں ہوا کیا دیں گے
ٹھیس لگتے ہی بکھر جائیں گے
صبح نکلے ہیں جو اپنے گھر سے
کیا خبر شام کو گھر جائیں گے
اب شکستہ ہے کتاب ہستی
اب یہ اوراق بکھر جائیں گے
مر کے بھی مر نہیں سکتے رحمتؔ
ہم کتابوں میں بکھر جائیں گے
