سیاہ ہے دل گیتی سیاہ تر ہو جائے

سیاہ ہے دل گیتی سیاہ تر ہو جائے

خدا کرے کہ ہر اک شام بے سحر ہو جائے

کچھ اس ادا سے چلے باد برگ ریز خزاں

کہ دور تک صف اشجار بے ثمر ہو جائے

بجائے رنگ رگ غنچہ سے لہو ٹپکے

کھلے جو پھول تو ہر برگ گل شرر ہو جائے

پڑے جو ہاتھ چمن میں بہ قصد گل چینی

مثال پنجۂ قصاب خوں میں تر ہو جائے

فروغ مہر سے ہو اختلاج قلب فزوں

بہانۂ خفقاں جلوۂ قمر ہو جائے

زمانہ پی تو رہا ہے شراب دانش کو

عجب نہیں کہ یہی زہر کارگر ہو جائے

کوئی قدم نہ اٹھے سوئے منزل مقصود

دعا یہ کر کہ ہر اک راہ پر خطر ہو جائے
