پھر کیا ہوا
پھر یوں ہوا
کہ اس کی ایک آنکھ سے چمگادڑ نے چھلانگ لگائی
اور ایک آنکھ سے پھڑپھڑاتا ہوا خار پشت نکلا
پھر جو وہ ایک دوسرے پر جھپٹے ہیں
تو ایسے جھپٹے
کہ منڈیریں کبوتروں سے
اور کیاریاں گلابوں سے
بھر گئیں
اس دن کے بعد ہم نے مداری کو کبھی نہیں دیکھا
اچھا اب تم
میرے لیے پان لگا دو
اور اچھے خوابوں پہ دھیان جما کے
سو جاؤ
